HI ALL,
I brought a 1961 unopened US Mint set from ebay a few months ago and when I opened it, I quickly noticed a pretty big mark (something like a burn mark) on the Franklin half. I will try to upload some pics for you all later but I would like to know if this is an error?

Thanks!

It's more then likely a dark toned spot...not burned

Graceoutcast is correct. it is starting to tone. sometimes you get a nice blue or purple tone sometimes you get that ugly black nasty stuff lol either way it is nothing to worry about and not an error
Gary too

Does it look something like this?

1961-US-Mint-Set

There was a tiny hole in the plastic at this location. Must have toned after being exposed to the paper envelope.

Hi,
I'm trying to get a pic of the coin but my camera is not focusing and coming out either fuzzy or blurry. What other option can I do?
Scan?

Scanning works for me: I've used an HP PSC 1610 multifunction flat-bed scanner & inkjet printer at 600 DPI; I just put the coin flat on the glass and covered it with a dark cloth, scanned it, and then edited it down to 300 DPI to make a file < 100 kB that I could upload. See result in my thread on "1997 D Roosevelt dime: damaged or double-struck?".
