I just got this one today. Is the number low enough and is it in good enough shape to worth more than the 50 bux I paid for it?

Under 1,000 is considered a low number.

Yep, under 1000 is low, if there's more zero's than other numbers. Spender.

0004847 is the serial number on the banknote posted, which is over 1000. One with a number below 1000 would be something like 0000972. At 1000 would be 0001000.

Windy:
For the most part they're picked up by "brickers".... individuals or groups that will take out a VERY large sum of notes from one or more institutions.

Brickers will generally do this to improve their odds at getting solids, ladders and believe it or not they're very helpful with the research on different front plate and back plate number combinations, How different prefixes have been printed as well as replacements.

In the past many notes that are numbered from 01 - 100 are saved and either used in display sets or given to dignitaries.
