Sorry if this is a bad question but I found a UNC 2012 $20 banknote with a serial number of FSK7776555. I am wondering if this has any value or if I should throw it back in the wild. I don't know much about banknotes (more of a coin guy) but any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

personally I would spend it, only because right now I can only afford to set aside unique serial and star notes of 1 dollar bills.

No value---statistically speaking.----There must be something unique about the number so that there would be only a few notes in the whole series----
Such as FUK6666666

You're close... if the number was 7776777 THEN you would be onto something.

lambecolin... the gov't will never issue the prefix FUK or a few others like GOD..

The original serial number could be a 'Double-ladder'.

Artdio:

The prefix EHG doesn't ring any bells off hand. I think EHX, EHF and perhaps EHA are a bit more desireable.

The serial number 7996799 is considered a 4 digit repeater... ABCDABC... and the serial number itself may derive a premium to certain buyers.

If this is your listing good luck... if you're interested in these notes please message me and I would tell you the price which these are trending at.

I would keep it. The number is technically not worth any premium but in my opinion, it should carry some premium if you sell it to somone who likes these numbers.
