I broke my lowest serial record again! Previous was L 0000 0304 * and I never thought I would beat that. Well, today someone bought some hot dogs at work and handed me three $1's. And one of them was this awesome note: E 0000 0030 I Unfortunately there's about a 1 inch line drawn in pen on the top margin of the back of the note, but I guess that's alright, the front of the note is what I'm going to be showing off. There was a few other notes I've found in the past few months that I decided to get some pictures of as well, though they're not nearly as cool. F 4444 4412 E L 7373 7737 I I don't think the last two are worth much but I think I could get a fair bit for the low serial if I decide to sell it... It's my best find, by far, though so I don't know if I WANT to sell it or not.

Very nice find but the condition looks a bit low so the that will keep the premium down a little. If you sell it please let us know what you get for it. John1

It isn't quite as bad as it looks, it's still got a fairly crisp feel to it but it does have the crease and waves. It's not perfect but what do you expect for bills pulled out of circulation?
I'm definitely thinking about selling off my bills collection though, the money I'd get is sounding nicer and nicer. I know it's nothing outrageous but it'd definitely be a nice bonus, especially to someone who's getting paid gas station wages!

I'm definitely considering it schris252. My main collection is coins, the bills were originally something I was looking to find and put on ebay, but I started to like some of them. But I'm not THAT attached to them, so it's somewhat likely they'll be up for auction soon.

Regardless of "value", I think a note with a serial number that low is priceless!

My jaw dropped when I saw the first note. That is a fantastic find, especially considering you got it for face value. Congratulations, you are very lucky haha!

Mine too! I think I said "holy crap" out loud when I saw it and the customer gave me a weird look. I'm still thinking about putting it (and all my others) on ebay, but I'm not sure about starting bids and all that. I've got a rough idea of what I'm hoping to get for them but I'm still really new to this stuff. Once I get all that figured out they'll probably be up on ebay!

Nice low serial number dollar note ... likely worthy of a premium on the Bay ... let us know how that goes for you.

Sure thing! I actually tossed some of my other bills up on ebay and I'm just seeing how it goes - After these two auctions I'll probably auction my 00000304 * ( http://i.imgur.com/X37c3T5.jpg)as well as the 00000030 above. I am allowed to post the ebay links in here when they go up, right?

Alright, I've put it up on ebay - I will let you guys know what I end up getting for it! I don't know what to expect. I see some other low serials that have gone for pretty high amounts, but they were all higher than my serial - I don't know if mine will go for more, being so low, or what. We'll see I guess! As long as I make more than $1, I've profited (though more would be nice >.>) I'd link the auction but I'm still a newish member and I do not think that I'm allowed to yet (or maybe not in this forum at all).

Sorry for the triple post, but I just wanted to update this. The auction ended, and it went for a final price of $46.55 if anybody was interesting in seeing what it would go for! Not a bad chunk of money for a total cost of a dollar!
