The coin does have light scratches on the front but only that one area. It must have been caused from circulation. I highly don't think the coin was ever cleaned.

I had this at EF45 also. Most likely would get a details grade for all the hairlines.

Hairlines probably look worse in those big pics than in hand.
EF 40 and I think it would grade.

Photographs without the 2x2 plastic would help ... but IMHO this is an XF40/XF45 example of this well saved initial year of issue.

with Night-Hawk ... believe the hair lines are a result of circulation wear and not a prior cleaning.
