-For the Washington quarter? Or will they even keep the Washington Portrait? What do you guys think? Or what would you like to see after the ATB Series concludes?

Good question. And with our governments constant not knowing what to do with coins, I highly doubt anyone could possibly guess. Not sure but I suspect that after all the States, parks, Counties, are shown on the backs, all the famous buildings and land marks will be next. Then an assorment of all the different trees, flowers, insects, cars, criminals such as Illinois Govenors, weapons and almost anything.

If this trend continues...a second ATB series has already been approved. Looks like Washington will be around a while longer

I like changing the reverses; I think they've sparked interest. I really enjoyed this year's designs. The mint has done a good job with this year's Sacagawea, the platinum eagle, and the ATB Washingtons. Going to miss these programs.

All these different quarters are a bit annoying. I'd like to see the pre '99 design resumed. I for one am ready for ONE regular design...back to some normalcy.

Kill the dead Presidents and give Liberty another shot. Cap and Rays would be cool!

I know there is some kind of coin law stating that any coin over 10 cents must have a eagle on the reverse unless its a commemorative issue so unless its a once a year type of issue like the state and park quarters ..it must go back to a eagle reverse

And yet the <redacted/> in congress have frequently changed the law.
The funny part is this isn't new. I was researching the beginnings of the 3c Silver and reading the congressional debates from 1853 and it's the same shenanigans... just a little more polite.

Quote: so unless its a once a year type of issue like the state and park quarters ..it must go back to a eagle reverse Or unless The Congress specifies something else through legislation, and that is exactly what they did. In the legislation that authorized the ATB Quarters there was a section that covered the end of the program and it specifies that once the series ends the reverse of the quarter will depict the scene of Washington crossing the Delaware. (8) Designs after end of program.- - " Upon the completion of the coin program under this subsection, the design on- - " (A) the obverse of the quarter dollar shall revert to the same design containing an image of President Washington in effect for the quarter dollar before the institution of the 50-State quarter dollar program; and (B) notwithstanding the fourth sentence of subsection (d)(1), the reverse of the quarter dollar shall contain an image of General Washington crossing the Delaware River prior to the Battle of Trenton. This part of (B)notwithstanding the fourth sentence of subsection (d)(1) Is the part of the law that requires the eagle to appear on all coins larger than the dime.

Is the part of the law that requires the eagle to appear on all coins larger than the dime. so it will have an eagle AND Washington crossing the Delaware?
