Larry Shapiro is out in LA, he's one of THE Morgan guys in the business. I'm sure he sets up at local shows.

I will keep my eyes peeled, hopefully a show surfaces near here before Christmas. I doubt there is a local coin show annually here.... Unless it is camping/ RV, guns, or menudo cook offs.... the fairgrounds aren't open that much. But I will have to look in LA, bound to be a show there.

I don't think you got particularly beaten about the head at $46 for this coin. Maybe a twelve-pack's worth.

Hey OP, go to this show coming up;

(046) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed &threadid=902921

Looks like Larry Shapiro is going, so if you wanna see some nice Morgans, I'm sure he'll be happy to help ya around time provided.

EDIT: I inserted a link to the PCGS forums, which are a FANTASTIC resource when used correctly, but I always forget that this site doesn't allow linking to their forums for whatever reason. Here's a post on a dealers page I found with some info about it;

I'd say this Morgan is a market slider or low end MS coin around 60/61/62 probably. Also keep an eye peeled for Gus Tiso he does a lot of shows in So Cal and has a TON of dollars in all price ranges, whenever I see him at a show he always ends up taking some of my money home with him! There are a lot of coin shows in SoCal and lots of dollar dealers too. You might even get into VAMs too!

Check the site http://www.coinshows.com there is a show coming up in Ontario, CA, not too far from Bakersfield. There is always Long Beach (an amazingly large show, has been downgraded the past few years, but is slowly returning to the top of the shows again). Fresno also has some good shows.

Well a twelve pack of Natural Light or Sierra Nevada Torpedos? I'm wondering now! ;) Fade, I will check out those forums as well as take a look at the link. Westcoin, thanks for the link I am going to bookmark it after I reply. I just have to plan a trip it sounds like, and make sure I have some cash to spend. I am looking at getting some slabbed Morgans in the near future, and my GF visited a friend of mine that's a manager in a pawn shop and put two slabbed coins on layaway so Santa has something for me too! But a coin show in Long Beach, that's ideal!
