I don't like it either. From pictures of the 4 die pairs, the horizontal part of the D is roughly parallel to the horizontal portion of the E and looks way off. The interior of the mint mark should be triangular while this one sort of looks like an oval.

I had a couple dealers at a recent coin show look at it in person and they said it was the real deal. I guess the only way to know is to send it off to a TPG company.

Soak it in acetone and see if the D comes off.

I would have to agree with everyone else assess, the rotation of the MM is way off.
