Hello, Coin Community! As an 18 year old novice coin collector and cashier at a local convenience store, I've already been able to secure many great additions to my personal collection, saving many beautiful coins from the perils of circulation. From dimes to dollars, all denominations and varieties of coins pass through the registers every day; working there is almost a game to me to see how many rolls I can go through of each denomination in a day! This made me wonder: Are there any other CCF members who enjoy searching through their registers at work? If you do, please share yours! Here are my personal discoveries for 2013 (In reality, August - Today): Pennies:?x Wheat Pennies (They come through every day, just depends whether or not I'm on the right register) 1920 LWC 1976 Kentucky Counterstamp + 1998 Drilled Center Nickels:1935, Dateless Buffalo nickel 1983, 2000 Proofs! 1938, 1940, 2x 1941 early Jeffersons Quarters:2001 Vermont State Quarter Proof? (I need help verifying) Dollars:1971, 1976 Eisenhower dollars 1979 Susan B Anthony wide rim! Silver:1944-S War Nickel 1964 Dime x3 1958 Dime (Oldest find in circulation!) 1964 Half Dollar 1969 Half Dollar Star Notes:$100 Series 2003 DB0011686* (Run size: 320,000)

to CCF. The 2001 quarter is not a proof and the 1979 SBA is not a near date. The $100 star not is not in a high enough condition to keep IMHO, and is a high dom note which makes it hard to keep,IMHO. John1

to the Community! I fixed your post so that all of the images show inline (click on them to open original size in new tab/window). You have some very nice finds. I agree with John, the quarter is not a proof (just shiny).

Not a huge find but I spotted a gettysburg d quarter in the till once an I asked for it, and the lady kindly gave it to me in my change. I love it when cashiers/tellers coƶperate with us weirdos. I've also found many coins in my till at work, all my fellow cashiers also help me out. I have several dozen canadian coins which I specifically collect.

Very nice finds! Do my finds have to be from 2013? I worked as a cashier from 2008-2011, but I've been working a boring desk job for the last 2 years. Here's some of the better finds I managed to snag from circulation: Spent to buy a scratch-off lotto ticket Spent on groceries. I told her it was worth more than 50 cents, and she said it wasn't worth the trouble of selling it. From the cash office Old lady with coin jar Old guy who paid entirely in $1 bills We got into a heated argument over whether or not she had to pay the 73 cents that she was short on her bill, so she gave me this to ruin my day. Another old lady with a coin jar. She also had a few other common-date wheats.

Just today, somebody brought in 5 Proof 1981 s Susan B. Anthony dollar coins! I snagged 'em all, they're in beautiful MS state. I can't quite tell if any of them are type-2; any help with diagnosis would be appreciated!
