I love those turtles and am always keeping an eye out for the right one at the right price. There are usually many of them offered in any major (or minor!) auction... usually with hefty price tags. One of these days...
Good luck getting this one, fingers crossed for you.

I have my reservations to be honest. I do love these coins but would prefer one from a dealer than ebay, the coin has a strange finish in my opinion (pourosity?) and the mark in the centre of the incuse square is reminiscent of a sprue mark (as if it was possibly cast) If it was cast and then the cast lines polished out you might drop a little weight. Mine is 28mm and weights 12.3grams this one is much smaller and only a little less in weight... Maybe I am just too suspicious and I really couldn't say one way or the other if it is genuine, but I just don't fancy it much. Looking on Vcoins I guess you would be looking to buy within Europe and avoid any costly import duties and there seems little choice at the moment. http://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/mun...Default.aspx @ £283 looks reasonable for a cheaper one... http://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/den...Default.aspx Looks much better if you could stretch to the price tag at £695 Personally I would hold out for one more like the second with a price more like the first but these coins are hard to get hold of in decent nick unless you are prepared to stump up the big bucks.

with DavidUK, and for the same reasons. The surface texture is too 'off putting' to my mind. I have seen a few examples of silver crystallization on ancient silver coins, which can give a similar surface effect, but in this case it just looks too even in texture to make me happy about it.

A coin type I don't have. I have missed several opportunities, I am waiting for the right one at the right time at the right price...
