Looks fake to me, but it has the form of a chinese coin from the 1700s

It looked machined to me so if it was from the 1700s I would go along with it being a fake

I am voting some type of token or charm, none of the characters match up with those commonly found on coins. I doubt its a fake coin.

Token or tourists' item. Meaningless token anyway. Not a coin or currency absolutely.

Thank you all for your help. I will go with wonghinghi's absolute as a meaningless token. I am not a token collector if anyone wants it get a hold of me and I will ship it to you in a stamped envelope.
