I'll chalk that up as a win, Nathan! There is slight wear to the cheekbone and hair that you can see in hand. The flip I bought it in claimed AU-50, and I think that grade is bang on.

My 1940 half, this is the best of the lot not great but better than nothing. I would put it at about F12.

@SHAFTA9a, you're too kind. I have some disappointing auction site purchases to get through, but it does make  over EastVanRob's coins a bit wetter.  Edit: OK, I pulled up my spreadsheet and it looks like I purchased both the 1941 and 1942 for $7.00 back in 2004. I'm less disappointed now!
