Sometimes I regret looking at bad coins on ebay, because ebay keeps sending me e-mails like this!  It's now priced at only £999.98 more than it's worth! I actually just sold a 1971 2p (from my pocket change) on ebay! I can't believed someone paid 2p plus 61p postage for a coin they could get in change any day! Edited by NumisRob

After seeing the photo of this gorgeous 1919 Lincoln, I don't know how I can resist spending $70.00 for this beauty.  383052595600The only downside is I'll have to take two weeks off of work and drive from L.A. to Georgia because he only offers free local pick up. |

I had to consult Rosetta Stone for ebay to translate this one. It is listed as 1897 BU GEM Morgan silver dollar COIN #6318 FREE SHIPPING UNC MS+++ Evidently in eBay-speak, "BU GEM UNC MS+++" means "scoured repeatedly with a Dremel, wire brush, and Brillo Pad until the barely recognizable surface looks like a garage sale sauce pan." Paul, that poor 1974 cent with a tattoo of Missouri must have done something really awful to be jailed in plastic for life. Seriously, $11,000 bail suggests that poor coin committed a serious felony. Dunno, it looks like a pretty decent fellow. The bail should be reduced to one cent and that poor guy should be sprung free to hang out with other cents in circulation.  |
