Received Tompkins book on Early Half Dollars 1794-1807 Vol. 1
I am blown away by the full color photos and the amount of information it contains. I've only skimmed a few pages so far however I can say I'm glad I purchased a copy.

Haxby Canadian Coins, Tokens and Paper Money, 1st Edition, Will Gandley Silver & Nickel Dollars of Canada 1911 to Date, Stephan E. Dushnick Illustrated History of Coins and Tokens of Canada, 1894, P. N.(Napoleon) Breton Canadian Coin Variety Catalog, 1st Edition, Hans Zoell == my other copies of the Zoell variety books have "disappeared" from my library == The Decimal Coinage of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, 1975, J. Richard Becker Coins of England and the United Kingdom, Peter Seaby and P. Frank Purvey Coins of the World 1750 - 1850, W. D. Craig Greek Coins and their Values, H. A. I think that's enough. And before anyone asks there are no Charlton catalogs, I gave all my Charlton catalogs (back to 1975) to a young Canadian collector who needed them.

Wow I haven't purchased any new numismatic books since October 2015.I received several Amazon gift cards for Christmas so I will likely purchase a few books to add to my growing library. As soon as I determine which ones will best fit my needs, I will add the titles to this thread. -MV

MV - I too haven't bought much other than a few successful bids at the last Kolbe & Fanning book auction. I finished off the Money Tree "Out on a limb" set, and added a few more of their FPL's to my collection, also added a few early David Bowers newsletters from the early 1960's and a bunch of John Reich collector society journals (early issues) and one other one that comes to mind David Aker's Gold Patterns book.

Last November I asked Lyn Knight if they'd send me a copy of their November PCDA auction catalog which they did.
Today, I purchased Medallic Portraits of Washington 2nd edition by Rulau and George Fuld. I was able to pick up a used copy for a good price. This was my first numismatic book purchase of 2016!

I have the Rulau and Fuld Washington book as well (1 edition though) I probably will never own any of the medals in the book, they are fascinating to study, and really have some great engraving work.
I haven't got any coin books of note since the year began, but I have purchased a few books on Cripple Creek, Colorado and gold mining & railroads in that region.

Purchased Truth Seeker: The Life of Eric P. Newman today.
My library is growing slower this year. This is only the third numismatic book I've purchased in 2016.

I have only bought one book this year and one more on the way. Last year I bought over 80 books and don't even have a want list anymore.

I now have a couple of the rare out of print "Comprehensive encyclopedia of Seated quarters" books by Larry Briggs due to a large book purchase, might need to sell one off. However my big score (to me) this week was finding a Harry X Boosel 1873-1873 on ebay in a low cost BIN sale. I also had a chance to met Mr. Len Ausberger at the Dallas, TX money show, a very respected and noted author of US numismatic books, wish I knew he was going to be there, I would have taken a few things to have him sign. It was a chance meeting at Rick Uhrich's table, where I saw an open 1873 Proof Two Cent Piece in PCGS PR08 pop of 3 with one known in worse grade, I had never seen one in that low of a grade, it was really cool, but not $1900 cool. http://www.richuhrichcoins.com/img/...ned/5864.jpg

Congrats westcoin I know you had been hunting for an actual copy of the 1873-1873 book for a while.
I'm thinking I'll pass on the Deluxe hardbound Pogue catalogs. I know they'll be full of information and high quality however, I know they'd wind up sitting on my shelf collecting dust.

I really didn't have much besides several copies of The Red Book until today. In the mail today I received a book from a kind CCF member: "Early Half Dollar Die Varieties 1794-1836" by Al C. Overton, fifth printing (1970). I also was given the Kindle edition of "American Silver Eagles: A Guide to the U.S. Bullion Program" by John J. Mercanti. Those are in addition to: Red Book (2012-2016) 2016 Red Book (Deluxe Edition) A small collection but steadily growing. I plan to add "Standard Guide to Small-Size U.S. Paper Money" soon.
