Ok Let me try this again. Pics were no good last post.

I am looking for other opinions on how a deep scratch might effect the grade of a coin.
Here are 2 coins that are quite similar except the 2nd coin has a deep scratch over the queens eyebrow and below her chin and on her neck.
I would be interested to see how you guys would grade each coin.
- the color is off because of the lighting-
Thanks

Grading is done at 10 X magnification---small marks will not be noticeably---even noticeable marks can be ignored for grading purposes.
Your coins are AU---full grading marks for them. IMHO

Not the best pictures for grading but I will give you my opinion from what can be seen.
coin 1
MS62 and possibly a 63.
coin 2
MS60 Bag marks on eyebrow and neck are typical on most business strikes. Mark below chin looks like is a planchet adjustment mark done during minting, also typical to 1960's dollars.
How a scratch effects grade...Bag marks and scratches on a mint state dollar that distract from it's appearance will almost always relegate it to a MS60 grade.

looks like I need to work on photography skills.
I appreciate your best guess efforts, and that does answer my question.

They both look like MS-62.
