For my 7070, only 15 to go to finish the set although I have already picked out 9 coins I'd like to upgrade. Maybe by the end of next year the set will be done.

My first draped bust as I don't have the cent either. I swear I was seeing a draped bust dollar or maybe it was a half dollar that had been chop marked for $40 I might have been missing a 0 though as I didn't have them take it out of the case I need to go back and check.

Very nice. If the rev matches the obv you did very well on an attractive C-3.

I know nothing about the varieties for old copper whats a C-3 Conder?

I love that my 7070 is coming together to the point I don't even need a list anymore when looking for coins for it because I can name off the top of my head what I am missing now with just 15 coins to go. The Seated halves, dimes, Half Dimes and quarters used to throw me for a loop with all the different varieties and trying to remember which you had and didn't have. Of the 76 slots there is 15 for Seated Liberty coinage nearly %20 of the set.

I am also down to 4 on my little boys set of 39 coins. Once I finish his set I will start my other boys set.

That was my goal for the year to reduce all the half done and nearly done sets. I caught up my national parks quarters yesterday too and am down just 7 sacagaweas and 4 Presidential dollars now. I did start a franklin set that only has 3 coins in it right now but my main goal for the year is to get all my smaller sets caught up, get my older boys set complete and get my younger boys set started and then reduce the number of coins in my 7070 needed. I also want to add some things for my boys sets I need a 2013 proof set for the newest boy and want to get them each an Eagle for their birth year and maybe a commemorative dollar too from those years. But I think I got a good kick start for the year by finishing up the national parks quarters and I did buy 5 sacs I needed and 1 Presidential dollar earlier in the year.

Half Cents are cataloged according to the numbers assigned in Roger Cohen's book The Little Half Sisters. There are three varieties in 1808. C-1 and C-2 are 1808/7 overdates with a normal 8 punched over a 7. The same pobv die was used on both and there were two different rev dies. The C-1 is extremely rare and the C-2 is scarce. The third variety C-3 is not an overdate but they seem to have misplaced the 8 punch between the time they made the first obv and this one because the 8 is actually made using the 0 punch from the fraction on the reverse overlapping the two 0 punches to create an 8 that is a little too large for the space it is in.
