I really like the die crack on the obverse @ 6:00. I noticed it when I uploaded the photos.

Oh...don't take this to heart cause I'm not very good at grading circulated coins...also I don't know how good the minting was in 1918...but I will put my neck out and hesitantly say Obverse Looks XF45....Reverse AU50....Not sure what that equals :)

Nice coin, one I'd be happy to have for my collection.
There is wear on cheek and jaw, and the coin has seen some circulation, evidenced by the general wear and multiple dings on the obverse. XF-45.

Hmmm, interesting. My immediate opinion was VF-something. I've settled at VF-30. To the best of my knowledge the TPG's don't grade average anymore (and yes, the reverse is better than the obverse). I believe they go with the side with the lowest grade.

AU 55. You really can't just use photograde blindly. Not that I'm saying anyone has! But you have to know the series as well.

This coin has quite a bit of underlying cartwheel luster remaining on the reverse. It's tough to capture it in a photo. My best uneducated guess? It's a late die state AU coin. The obverse rim from 5:00 to 10:00 has a ridge. I'm far from an expert, but I don't normally see ridges like this on circulated coins. The die crack is another sign of a worn-out die. I know that it went through a coin-counter, and I only paid $.045 for it. The scratch in front of Lincolns nose is looks worse in the photos than it does in hand.
