I'm quite excited to see my advertisement on Craigslist pay off!
$500 paid for 357 Silver Dimes, worth it intrinsically if silver stays above $19.36 (was $21.32 at the time)
But my oh my, the coins that this gentleman had to offer were stunning! Certainly numismatic premium and I think I might just have developed a fondness for Roosevelts
Barbers, Mercs, And mostly BU Roosevelt dimes! (See pics)
Some of the major scores:

  • 1918-s Mercury in EF-40

  • 1907-o Barber in F/VF

  • 1902-o Barber in F

  • 1939-d Mercury in BU/MS

However, something does worry me.. On the 1892 Barber dime, why do his facial features appear to be milky and worn? Is that environmental damage to the coin? I'm not sure.

Very good score on what could be a steal if silver ever rebounds into the $30 range. As for the 1892 Barber, can you get a closer pic of that one? I would suspect it would be just a circ-cam wear which would give it it's current appearance.
