No two collections are the same and I was wondering if you had to pick one or two coins from your collection, and call them your favorites, what would they be? Pictures would be appreciated.

I just got this one a few weeks ago. It was my Great-Grandfathers and he brought it over from Germany after fighting in WWI. And I absolutely Love old German coins! I'm recently got this Civil War hard Times Token that has quickly become one of my favorites in my collection.

My favorite is a gold coin that was given to me as a gift about two weeks ago. you cant beat the price and I really like free gold lol the reverse has a few circulation marks on it but it still weighs in at 1.6 grams so no loss at all

My favorite is my BU 1900 $5 gold piece. I bought it for under $30 while in college.

The Canadian silver dollar was introduced in 1935 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of King George V. On the 1936 dollar they used a different obverse portrait than the previous year. This is the same obverse used on the 1911 pattern dollar.

I think that's a great question because the answer keeps changing, for me anyway. Right now I am really hooked on the Indian $10, $5, and $2.50 pieces. They're totally breathtaking coins! Next week, next month, who knows? That's what I love about this hobby.
Sorry no photos, too time consuming and tedious. One day I'll get it down.

I think the 3 cent silver is a very unique design for a US coin. No people, birds or wreath on it.

That is sometimes easier to answer for some people than others. Depends on why you like what you like I guess. For me my favorite coin is the 1943 Lincoln Cent. That is an easy one. My Dad started giving me them when they first came out in 1943 and that started me on coin collecting. I ammased about 30 rolls of them and many, many like brand new since they were in 1943. What a great way to remember a great person.

Right now my 3 favorites are, in no particular order, 1827 Bust Half, 1869 3 Cent Nickel, & 1864 2 Cent Piece. I have posted pictures of the first 2 before, but haven't had a chance to get a good picture of the 2 Cent. I got it from a forum member, & it's really nice. When I get a decent picture I'll post in the grading forum.

Due to the generousity of some members here my list of faves continues to expand. Scoutjim sent me a bunch of foreign coins which included 1944 Mexican 20 centavos. I love the design on the reverse and would like to add a few more to my collection. He also sent me a german coin which I would like to get more of and Graceoutcast sent me a nazi coin which also has a nice design. I've also been thinking about aquiring a flying cent eagle. Frodaddy, yours is a beauty Walking liberty, buffalos and Indian cents, seated and standing liberties are my faves in U.S. coins right now.
