This date and MM becomes scarcer in better grades and can really become an investment coin in a top TPG slab such as PCGS.

To boot, you have one of the rarer variates of the 1842-O, an A-3/G-101/F-103 which can add a suggested premium of up to 40% according to the leading expert's recommendations. This coin is actually using a left over reverse die of the 1841 issue.

I cherry picked this one off a dealer and I am pleased with the return it could bring after I hold it for a few years.

thanks for looking
Enjoy

Looks to be a VF35 but I can see an EF40 also, love the reverse die crack!

I'm in awe of your numismatic prowess, all of you except the guy that gave my coin a 30

Sorry dsfree, I thought it looked a little "soft" on my screen, that's why I said VF30. Still its a great coin and even better at a 40.
