What do you think PCGS gave it? What variety? What would you pay for it?

I'd guess this is the 1888-o "Hot Lips" variety.
I don't know much about value so I'd pay maybe $40 to $50 for this coin, but that's a complete guess on my part.

Probably G4, although AG wouldn't surprise me either.

g4, and being the hot lips variety, probably around 30 to 50$ depending whether you are buying or selling. Most buyers want these things in better grades though.

Good (Details - PCGS 98 code, Obverse damage) VAM-4 "Hot Lips".
I'd say around $40 is the going price in that grade/condition.

AG details. Surfaces have an unnatural look. Kinda looks whizzed but not sure.

Good details "smoothed surfaces" VAM-4 Hotlips, a really cool DDO! I have at least 4 of this VAM all in higher grade (F-EF), I know lowball collectors love this variety as it is easy to spot from the lips, and I know they pay a good premium for the lowballs $60-70 if not a details grade, since I think your coin is a details grade, and was probably artificially worn down with a buffing wheel or "whizzed" then pocket toned for a while, with some light damage near the date I'd say the value of this one is more in the $30-35 range.

I'll give it a bit more time before I reveal the grade, but there have been some great guesses so far.

Westcoin nailed it. I think if it had been kept as a pocket piece for a while it might have graded, but there is some obvious extra shine from a buffing wheel or something on the obverse especially.
