Will they even grade it? I know at one time the grading services quit grading them cause they said all the micro O dollars were counterfeit.

OK. Weight is 25.8G. Is that normal for this condition? Size checks out. Ping test sounds like a morgan. Nonmagnetic.

The 1899-O's are genuine; it's based on one of them (VAM-6) that the counterfeits from other years were made. I think this one is VAM-4, but that is based only on my impression of mint mark orientation due to the level of wear obliterating the other pickups. I'm not seeing the lines in the tailfeathers which I should for VAM-4. Have a very close look for a faint horizontal line under the 1; if you can identify that, it's VAM-32. As regards having it slabbed, I'd recommend against as unnecessary. These aren't terrifically rare under about XF, and with the rim partially obliterated I'd have a hard time reaching "Good" as a grade.

PCGS reckons one of their slabbed 1899 micro O ones at G4 is worth about $34 and only $54 at 12 and I don't think it would rate that high.
Save your grading fee and buy another coin. <grin>

This coin is not in bad condition! It is an honest, well-circulated coin. And a very cool VAM, even if not very rare. I just picked one of these up only slightly less worn than yours (full rims but only barely), in an old ANACS slab graded VG8 for $34. Just because it was so cool! But, agreed with everyone else, not worth the grading fee to slab it.
