News from 2/12/14:
http://www.ngccoin.com//news/viewar...me-Varieties

The NGC VarietyPlus service will recognize Liberty Seated dime varieties listed in the online reference by researcher Gerry Fortin. Such varieties will receive an F-number attribution on their NGC certification label.

Good news for dime variety collectors.

Nice. Might as well figure out if my new 1876-CC has a valuable variety.

I *think* your Dime is Fortin-128 based on the mint mark orientation and clear doubling of the E in DIME.

I think I agree with you dave. The doubling is consistent with a F-128; although by no means is this a rare variety (Those being the F-101, F-105,F-106, F-110, F-111 and F-107 which are R-6, R-5+, R-5, R-5, R-4 and R-3+).

If anyone else wants to check out the aforementioned dime-- its available here: https://goccf.com/t/168990&whichpage=2

This is great news......assuming they can get the attributions correct.

With their past record I'm not going to hold my breath.
