It is a nice example. Nice image John1. But do you notice how the lower part of your images are darker. How to get rid of that is simple. Raise the 6:00 area with a cent. Then the light will flow across the coin. I use a ramp when I take images. It raises the coin at the right angle to make the light flow into the lens of the scope. If I see there is a problem, like it being too dark at the bottom, I place another coin under the ramp and it fixes the problem.

I currently have added a square cap from a half dollar tube. It allow the positioning to not scratch the bottom of my microscope.

The ramp is a 2X2 with a piece of cardboard at the open end. I coved it with dark material (To reduce glare) to focus the light source into the lens of the scope. I may at times need a quarter, of a half dollar to raise the correct the even flow of light. I have the light source at 12:00 and the widest part of the ramp at 6:00 when taking images. If the ramp is not set this way, the lighting reduces as it misses the lens. So I always keep the ramp at that angle, but rotate the coin when I want to show a specific set of devices. Then I edit the image to make the coin/devices horizontal. It makes view the images better for our brains.
