I'd like to get your opinions as to which is the world's most beautiful coin. That's very subjective, I know, but this one makes my heart go thump, thump. Any other candidates? I may do a giveaway to anyone who can beat this one.

echizento, We have similar taste for chosing bird coins. Does your coin have the proff version? It will look very nice!

To Grace, all I can say is "wow." What is it?
And I was hoping we would hear from Spica. I know it is hard for him to choose - like having to chose among his children. It is truly an impressive coin.

Wow. Everyone is going for the large world bullion coins.. or so it seems. What about the little guys? The common, every day circulation coins? Some of them are gorgeous, and sometimes time only makes them more beautiful. My only regret is the black spot at the top of the obverse. I found this little one in the bargain bulk bin. The bulk bin! That's where about ninety percent of my collections come from anyway. >.>

I have the Belarus silver and nickel plated Swans and they are absolutely beautiful for a modern day coin but I do NEED to know more about graceoutcast's first photo of the old classic? Tell me more as that coin definitely belongs in my world collection! Are they available and at what cost? Do you know any history on this coin?

The one that says "80-jähr. Geburtstag"? Guess that is a medal. And according to Wikipedia, 1 April 1815 is the birth date of ... * Edward Clark, governor of Texas * Otto von Bismarck, Chancellor of the German Empire I suppose that piece does not commemorate Mr Clark. Christian
