Coins from Kuwait have a *mild resemblance* to the design.

The metal blot at the top makes me think it was a medallion or a pendant and the ring was broken off.

This looks like no coin I'm familiar with. Probably a token or medallion.

Hi yiorgos and welcome to the community.

A fascinating medallion and here is my very wild guess.

Simone Boccanegra was elected the first lifetime Doge of Genoa, Italy in 1339AD.
Genoa was a very important port at that time hence the ship and the headdress on the portrait does look Italian in style. But I don't know why the date should be written in Arabic numbers.

It's not a coin, as others have stated. Exactly what it is is uncertain, and perhaps unknowable. The Arabic script to the left of the ship is as badly drawn as the ship is; I suspect whoever made it did not actually know how to read Arabic. The broken-off loop indicates to me it was at one stage a medallion; perhaps it was made as a piece of jewellery.
