I am going out of town but wanted to give you a heads up on something that will be available when I get back. I looked up every pattern for this denomination it seems like to make sure that you see something new. See you in one week! Oh and if you eat your peas and carrots I have a truly insane 1854 Half Dime you can check out too. Makes me even wonder if I'm stretching my imagination far enough lol!

Yes and I really do feel bad about the photos. I will have a friend help me out. I had this on my phone and thought it would maybe take some skepticism away lol! I believe it should weigh 1.94 grams. This weighs 2.1. Yes I zeroed it out and did 3 separate weighs.

If you are going to post, please post good pictures and make sure you are able to back up your claims. I have a feeling your claims of uniqueness are falling on deaf ears now with this "build up" nonsense. On the off chance that you do have something unique, I am pretty sure some members will not even bother to look based on the past foolishness.
This is coming from a place of wanting to help you. I hope you respond only when you have some very good images and information to back it up (and not this, oh I think I see and my imagination is just the best).

That truly does make me sad to hear. I am trying my best. In my own thoughts I thought it would be nice to see the transition from a coin that some would see as junk to something greater. That is all I wanted to do. If I post something that some would see as too far off the norm it's not b/c I am seeking attention but b/c I believe it is truly so. Trust me when I say I will do everything in my power so that nobody ever knows who I am. I don't want a plaque, certificate, name in a book, anything really except to possibly have someone maybe get an idea or knowledge from what I present. If you think I'm trying to make this a show you couldn't be further from the truth. Do I say stupid stuff on occasion and sometimes get my facts wrong. Absolutely. For this I apologize but I'm human and have been doing this for only 4 years. But one thing I do give myself credit for is I am very good at finding the unique coins I believe I have in my opinion. If this is how people feel I'll skip the commentary show the coin with good pics. Something that I ultimately have no control over and to be honest having a photographer come to my home and take pics of these pieces is something that I am not completely fond of but if that's what it takes then that is what will happen. Sincerest apologies.

It's really simple to get answers to questions here from a lot of people that are more than willing to help.
First step is decent, close up pictures of both sides of the coin(s) you have questions about.
Until then, you won't get much help. Seeing is believing in this business. (Sometimes!)

Quote: That truly does make me sad to hear. I am trying my best. Honestly, the subject of trial pieces, patterns, and die varieties isn't about how hard we try...to make a coin fit a personal theory. I don't think anyone here slams your effort or interest! Just speaking from experience, every die variety I've ever found started with solid, confirming evidence from an expert's careful research. It's more like science than guessing. Very, very seldom is a unique coin variety out there. Rarer still is a 19th C. pattern yet to be discovered. Therefore, the better the data--detailed photos, confirming pieces, and most importantly--expert analysis, the more believable the discovery. There are lots of interesting varieties out there to find, and they're already covered in books in detail. If you're as excited about finding something as I am, you'll find the search for these varieties rewarding--have fun!
