Just got this yesterday would anyone want to guess the grade? The picture does not show the proof like qualities at all. I may look at a different photographer for more images. Also does anyone want to help me with the VAM info?
I will reveal the grade this evening.

Id say MS 66, I've seen 65s with way more contact marks than this one in the fields. The toning on the observe is great!

It sure looks like MS65 minimum with a shot at PL. As for the VAM number, I've got it at unbroken 4th star, long nock reverse and wide CC (I think). The process of elimination left me at VAM19 but I am unable to make out the "minuscule" PUP's, therefore not 100% certain.

With the hits on the face and nose on the obv and the hits near the eagles left wing on the reverse I'd probably give it a 64 PL. With 3rd party grading the way it goes though I would not be surprised at all for them to give it a 63PL.

I very much like the coin and it has great eye appeal.

Pinenut hit the nail on the head and I hope to resubmit someday and try for the pl designation.

I was going to say 66 and a very nice one to boot. What a specimen! Anybody who thinks this is a 64 can sell me all of their "MS64" Morgan dollars.
