Purchased from Stacks 1988, I remember this coin was misattributed as JR-1. It is actually the JR-2 variety. The coin is darkly toned, and somewhat iridescent on reverse. May I please have your opinions on how it may grade nowadays. My intention is to eventually have this coin encapsulated. Many thanks for your comments/opinions.     |

I'm super inexperienced with early US coinage. My first thought was VF. Using PCGS photograde, I think it's easily VF-30 or possibly 35.  your collection of Early American coins is a sight to behold.  -MV |

Once again, thank you all for your comments and opinions.
I think you all graded this coin higher than I do. I tend to be conservative when grading, so I had as a strict VF. It was also described as VF in the Stacks catalogue back in 1988.
