I have two Jansco's and have wrapped some paper towels around the bulbs to diffuse, but I was curious if there isn't a better way. I sometimes feel the light is still a touch harsh. Thoughts?

Tissue paper would make a good diffuser.

I have heard/seen some use coffee filter paper. May give that a whirl...one of these days.

I don't know what a Jansco looks like but here's what I tried with my OTT-LITE's.
I started with a plastic half gallon milk container, the frosted type.
I cut the complete top off then slide the bottom over my lights.

RESULT: It didn't diffuse the light enough BUT maybe you could improve on the idea.

Here's a picture of my setup.
Note the milk container in back of the right light.

Don't remember.
I've had it for quite a while.
As I recall I did a Google search and waded through all the returns until I found this one.
I think it was about $40.

I've been using the type of white tissue paper that is used to wrap clothing for present/gift boxes.
