The last month or so has been slow at the store as far as silver goes. No quarters or dimes or the like. Today, a lady came in and got 30 bucks in gas. 1 dollar of it in change including a 58D.

I asked her if she had any more. Once I was able to get her to understand what I was saying, she told me not now. In other words, she used I dont know how many before coming into my store. But hey, I am NOT going to complain. This coin for 50 pennies.

Oh, AND it was an empty hole in the Dansco we are working on from circulation.

In 58 that would have bought 2 gallons of gas.

In 2014 the silver value would still buy 2 gallons of gas. Goes to show that all prices are relative.

No way I would have accepted that at face, I would have told her what's going on and at least given her $5 for a $7-8 coin. That's just me, though.
