I posted this a few years ago but have since taken better pictures - and it's now going on a trip to PCGS, so when I get it back, we can see how everyone did. I won't post the opinions from previously or the thread because I don't want prior opinions to lead current ones. The darker areas are toning and are a dark purple-ish. It was very hard to capture. What do y'all think?

I may be overgrading it but I'm thinking MS-63.

It could easily just be the light reflecting off those high points. If there is no wear than I would say that it could be MS63 maybe even MS64

Thanks for that, flippy The consensus was higher last time; maybe it was the washed-out pictures making it look better. Thanks for all of the opinions.

She is a beauty. I like the color a lot. Lots of eye appeal imo. I'll go 64 on it, maybe 63 if they are conservative. 65 wouldn't floor me either though.

Thank you Here's the old topic - it has toned and slightly darkened over the few years since; not a surprise due to the different environments it's been subjected to. http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...PIC_ID=64695nod2003, in that old topic, also mentions he might see rub at a couple of places but it might be reflection. That was a pretty true representation of it at the time although the images were washed out a bit due to the axial lighting technique that I didn't exactly have down yet. I'll let everyone know the grade when I get it back.

Looks like a good amount of die rust especially on the obverse relief. Very well struck too. I wonder if it's a proof coin or they were proof dies for the business strike. I'll be very interested in PCGS return.
