Just a tad corroded. Valuable enough to keep? Worth more than $2 each?

The first one I'd just call a cull with the corrosion too far gone.

The second one isn't quite as dirty and still has some nice detail left.

These coins are the ones you'd find in a dollar bin at a coin dealer. Still, unless you're sell in them, they're worth keep in.
Rest in Peace

Yes. What do you know about Shield type nickel?

Could be.
Again, what do you know about Shield type nickel
Not sure how long you have been collecting and your budget.
Nice coin, " a tad corroded." to learn about.

bpoc:

I've been stacking for a few years, I got a baggie of about 20 coins, these are a part of them. I know that these were made for about 20 years, this year had about 20 million strikes? They were oversized in comparison, and the Half Dime ran closely to this, but was silver and far smaller, it was a wake up for the Mint to see Gresham's law in action.

I will not dump these, I want to tag with an estimated value for future reference (if I leave this earth), and my loved ones have some guidance.

in their current condition probably not $2, try soaking them in acetone to remove the junk.

Of course you keep em. What else would you do with them? I have a whole jar full of culls. I actually like looking at it. When you collect long enough, you always end up with stuff like this some how.
