@Johnny, in all due respect, I to believe it was cleaned but could you tell us why you also say corroded? Just trying to learn.

I do see what looks like micro porosity by the 'U' of UNITED. Cleaned/retoned as well but, has nice eye appeal despite.

I actually think it is an AU details coin, but definitely corroded and cleaned. The tiny "pits" on the smooth parts of both sides of the coin are the remains of corrosion, which was cleaned off in the past.

with ProfLiz on the call of the grade and the cleaning leaving some porous areas of old corrosion that has been removed.
