Here's one to start this off. A Bulgarian 3 Leva note. These circulated from 1952 to 1962. Size is approximately 120mm X 60mm, printed in the USSR. Are there others of this ilk, maybe even stranger fractionals? Colligo ergo sum

Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

There are lots of odd denominations. Burma has a neat set of 15, 25, 35, 45, 90 Kyats denominations. Several countries have 2.5 or 0.5 denominations. I regret not buying the 40 dollars from the Cayman Islands when I had the chance. My favorite in my possession is the 0.36 centavos from Argentina.

Germany issued a 3 ruble note in 1916 when it controlled Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus and part of Poland. See my post from 12/09/13. https://goccf.com/t/164554

How did that 36 cent note work? I'm assuming there was a special reason for it, it's a very, very odd denomination.

Quote: During the US Civil War, coins were hoarded. Here are some fractional currency the US issued due to the shortage of coins. A century ago in northern Mexico, revoluntionary chaos also caused specie used in everyday commerce to disappear, leading to state issues such as this. This style of note is often referred to as a "Dos Caritas" ("Two Little Faces").

Burma produced some odd numbered notes some years ago. Here is a commercial image of the 15 Kyat.

Thanks Fuzzy, I found it eventually. Much neater. Arianzo, yes 0.2 is cutting it pretty fine. Maybe that note was a commemorative issue, being the percentage chance of surviving the Khmer Rouge. Printed in 1979 right?

I wouldn't call 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50 or 1/2 weird denominations, as most countries use these to a degree.
