Wow, the planchet is tapered so it has a funky strike but it still has more detail than most Small Mottos you come across. If only the seller had a clue what they were selling or had even used the obverse as the primary photo...

I did see it late last night, and set an alarm to bid, as I did it quickly rose - so fast my bid didn't even get accepted, I bid just under the winning one anyways, hoping for a deal! I figure it's value around $240.00 or so, depending on how well it might conserve, after some acetone and verdi-care treatment. Quote:

The seller had three other coins , Shield nickel - corroded, and an over priced decent 1883 no cents Liberty nickel, he doesn't sell coins it would seem. I'm sure he is baffled to the ending price, I should have bid a bit higher as it really is a nice coin, and would have fit well in my Two Cent variety collection. I'm sure an obverse photo as the main image would have attracted a lot more interest and bidding. It just shows it pays to look at even the common stuff.
