I made a purchase at our local Menards over the weekend (sort of a midwestern Home Depot for those that aren't familiar). My change was $2.10, and the dime caught my eye with its unique sheen... turns out it was a 1959 Roosevelt! This is the first silver I've received in circulation (not counting CRH'ing) since I was a kid in the 1980s.

Nice find. Been a while since I had any silver come to me via change. Last one was a 64 quarter around a year ago.

I found a silver nickel in change at lowe's ... another hardware store! I looked at it and said, "oh a silver nickel!" I could tell by the color and then double checked the date. The cashier said, "it's probably zinc" as she nodded her head and kind of furrowed her brow knowingly. I said, "No it's not. It's silver." And I smiled.

My brother a year back noticed one of his friends while at school had a silver nickle (giant "D" on the back) and traded that nickle for a regular nickel and gave me the silver one :)

I've only seen a couple of War Nickels in change; no 90% yet but will always look!

Nice!! Every now and then I get a silver dime in the register at work. The one thing I never see is a silver quarter from circulation...

I work at a convenience store and I have found 35+ silver dimes in the last year but only 3 or 4 War Nickels and maybe 5 silver quarters including a 40% silver bicentennial quarter.
