Thanks for the link. I wasn't aware there was more work going on at the site of the Central America's wreck. I've been following this for years.

I can't afford any of the coins recovered, but I have been following it with interest.

The SS Central America was excavated back in the 1990s, with quite a large amount of coins and other loot recovered; buying coins provenanced from the ship is certainly possible.

The only news is that Odyssey seems to have been rewarded for thinking there's enough loot still there to make a second expedition worthwhile.

I've been fascinated with shipwrecked coins but haven't set about acquiring an example from one.
