I've been asked by a member to put together another joint grading submission to PCGS. For my part, I have a couple but I'd need to send them to NGC because I'm looking for slabbed attributions that PCGS doesn't do.
So, is there any interest in another coordinated submission to PCGS or NGC? For those who don't recall, we did a similar submission a few months ago wherein members sent their coins to me, and I submitted them under my membership for grading. I'm a member at both PCGS and NGC for submission purposes. We could do one for both.
The last time we did this, I ran a thread in the Grading forum for members to compare their skills to the professional graders. If we do another, I will do the same grading comparison, but with a little twist - the "Pit your skills against the professionals" grading thread will be a contest. I have a coin in mind for the prize.

Is there any kind of discount for bulk submissions? I have a few that I would like to have graded, some varieties and some regular wheats. I have no preference to which one grades my cents, its a stuff shoot either way.

Below a certain level, one which we're not gonna reach, there is no discount for bulk submissions. Here are a couple links for grading prices: http://www.pcgs.com/grading_list.chtmlhttp://www.ngccoin.com/services/services.aspPlan on that price, plus the cost of shipping them to me and getting them back. Of course, I won't charge anything but actual shipping. The plan is to accumulate an idea of the actual number of coins to be submitted, and to divide that cost evenly between the participants. Note that there are tiers for submission, related to value, and that we'd have to make minimums to qualify. Those are details to settle once demand is figured.

I may have a coin or two I would be interested in submitting, depending on what level of service ya'll are thinking about. Any idea when all this would be happening?

If we can accumulate 100 or more to submit we can qualify for a bulk submission at PCGS or NGC. I have 20 little busts I'll throw into the PCGS pot.

Both services require a minimum of 100 coins of the same type and denomination for bulk submission. NGC will only accept bulk submissions from dealers, as well.

Wow, mint errors cost 40 bucks from PCGS. No wonder ANACS has the market when it comes to error coins. I have bought PCGS certified coins off of ebay for about 40 bucks. I guess I was paying 40 bucks for the plasteeeek and got the coin for free. errrror PS I want some certified, but not at that price.

Frankly, Errorcoins, I think ANACS or ICG are for you. Both have impeccable attribution reputations, and both accept direct submissions.

Dave, I know, thanks. ANACS blows ICG away in my book. Much higher resale value.
You like new the cool coins on my site? I will add a lot more in the future that will blow you away. My time needs to go into placing more non coin photos on the site, so it may take some time to get more errors up. But I'm kinda into it right now so it may be sooner than later.

Put it this way: Can you understand the concept of "exquisite torture?" That's how I'm feeling about your site.
