Dave as much as it bothers me to support the TPG's with my dollars ,, I do have this 1888-O that has never seen a complete consensus on the grade due to the excessively weak strike. This maybe a good opportunity to send that one in . it makes no difference to me which company! They all are about the same to me ,, But if you think one or the other would be best suited for this coin ,,then I trust your judgement . Metalman

Rick, it would be an honor and a pleasure to handle that coin for you. I'd want to send it to PCGS with my 1921's - that way you could squeeze the very last penny out of Fred when he realizes he's willing to mortgage his dwelling to have it. Errorcoins, NGC's language is unclear regarding errors. It states "tier price," which could mean either no extra cost, or double the cost. Let me ask at the NGC forum to be sure. And keep me the heck away from Fatwallet. And Gotapex too, for that matter.

I'll admit it, I'm willing to pay for the economy service, but I can't see paying extra for regular service. I'm open as to which TPG. I have a 2 cent I would like slabbed, how much extra is it to get the Breen number on the slab? I definitely want to submit this one. As long as I am sending that one, would you be willing to take a look at 2 other coins & let me know what you think? The first is an 1880-s that is in an old PCI slab that I think is undergraded. If you think it would cross at the same or higher grade I would like to submit it. The last one is the 1921 dollar with the unusual die polishing marks on the reverse. I don't want to have it regraded, just want to see what you think about it "in hand".

I've got a couple of busties I wouldn't mind getting slabbed. Which tier are you looking at? One of the coins I'm thinking of is valued at very close to $1000. PCGS or NGC are both fine in my book, although I've heard and seen that NGC is sometimes a little looser.

Dave,
I have quite a few coins I've accumulated in the last year that I would like to get graded. NGC would probably be fine, but I'd like your recommendations as well. I have 10 sets of sealed 20th anniversary silver eagle sets, a couple other sealed sets of the gold and silver series, a couple St. Gauden $20 pieces and a the Adams error coins.
I may have a couple of more, but I have to take a look first.
If you want to message me, we can talk more about it.
Thanks :)

I will go through my stuff tonight to figure out what I have/want to send in. I am good with NGC on everything, but if you are going to do PCGS, I may just send you some notes if I have enough for the minimum between me and Tykimeister. Having said that, if you feel the notes would be too much of a pain, just hollar as I would understand completely. You know Richard is submitting more Two Cent Pieces just to make us drool again!

Dave, Thanks for putting in the time and effort on this project! I have decided that I would like to submit 2 coins, one is an UNC 1885 RB (almost Red... please call it red :) Indian cent, and a 1877-S Trade dollar in AU, if they dont decide it's fake.

Dave, if you have all you need then ignore this. However, if you are short of the total you need, let me know. I have my 1928 Peace dollar and my $10 gold Indian I have been thinking about having graded at some time in the future. If you do this again, I will definitely participate, I realize my response is a little slow. Jim

Ok I have a couple coins I would be interested in sending. How much would it cost? Is it too late? Would it be worth it to send an 1882s morgan (weak strike) and a 1909 vdb? I'm new to the whole slabbed coin think seeing is how I have no certified coins.

Zach, have you posted these in the grading section yet to get an idea of the grade? I assume the 1909 you're talking about is what you are practicing your photos on? I can tell you this, Superdave will take the coins he receives and take ludicrous photos of them. Not to fear, I believe he wasn't satisfied on a few during the last go round, so he made adjustments and spent MORE time taking photos until they were to his standards. Unbelievable chap that one. Having said that, I can't answer if it's too late or not, but he will give you his honest opinion on whether it's worth the slab. I personally look at it this way. I don't remember what I spent on a lot of my coins because my book keeping stinks. But if I think it will be even twice what the grading fee is, I would consider submitting it because I know it will most likely hold it's value or appreciate over time. This is just MY opinion and may not be the same as others.... Oh, I think the pricing is ~$15-$20 per coin. PCGS.com shows the pricing if you look around the submission center stuff.
