I have a large number of nice moderns just sitting around and have decided to purchase some albums so I can show them off. Most of these look straight forward, but as I was looking at the Ike's there are a lot of varieties that are listed, and I don't have. As an example the Numismedia site lists 14 coins just for 1976. What is included in an Dansco 8186 if I go that route?

I never realized how much variety there could be in a set that was only minted for 7 years.

The Dansco 8166 has 36 holes, 32 of them labeled. The only varieties it recognizes are the two for 1976. You would have four extra holes to place four other varieties (like two of the three from 1972).

It really depends on how deep you want to go into varieties. You can add another blank page, but that would require another (larger) binder (the binder used can only hold the four pages it has).

If your really want to collect all of the varieties, perhaps a binder with five or six blank pages to collect what you want.

Correct, two for each mint (P-D-S) of the clad. Only one variety (V1) for the silver and silver proof. This makes eight coins total for 1976.

Thanks for the great info, I need to think this though a bit more than I first thought. I did find some sample pages on an e-bay add and they were mostly the generic P / D / S pages I originally expected.

Cool-the type 1 and 2 I have are the 1972 varieties-sent em both out type 2 came back ms64 and type 1 ms63 was so glad it wasn't other way around...does anyone here think the Ike's are becoming or will become more sought after in the future? They do seem to have garnered more interest of late..may be ugly to some but I think that's what makes them stand out and I personally like them-I'm probably partial to them because I remember thinking how cool they were as a little kid and just wanting to hold them and wanting my dad to give them to me to spend! Lol
