I find lots of US nickels in Canadian coin rolls and decided to start a us book. I have 4 different 2005p nickels but none with the Monticello.

Are there any of them out there?

the 2005 Nickels either has a reverse of a Bison or the Ocean view. 2006 was the return to Monticello.

You have 4 different ones? As Fuzzy said, there are only 2 unique reverse designs in 2005 ("Bison", "Ocean in View"), neither of which bears Monticello.

Probably a P and D of each design. That makes four.

I always love finding people interested in foreign coins

I'm always on the look out for Canadian coins in my US rolls...

Look up West-ward journey, it's the commemorative coins for the 200th anniversary of the Lewis and Clark expedition. 1804-5, the 04 and 05 have special obverses.

I live in Montana and I always get a chuckle from them, Montana was a big part of the trip... mountains may be bigger but as the expedition neared the Rockies they were flabbergasted... they saw the foot hills of the Rockies and thought OK it's like the mountains back east...

Then they crested the hill and saw the REAL ROCKIES... I would have loved to be there as they realized the extent of altitude they were required to overcome to reach the other side of the continent. India to the Tibetan plateau is nasty enough but the Rockies are THE Rockies!

Conder101 is correct, I have the same for 2004 without a Monticello.

For Canadian quarters there were some years that the "special" ones were the only ones released for circulation, and I wondered if this was the same case.

Thanks for the input.
