After seeing people's reaction to a very, very nice 20th Century Type Set one of our Club members put together, I decided to put one together. Where he used the highest grade coins he could find and used a Capitol plastics holder to protect them, I wanted to use common date circulated coins and put them in a inexpensive Whitman folder so people could touch and feel the coins without having to worry about damaging any of them. As a dealer I also wanted to show people they could put together a fun set of coins for a reasonable cost. I almost accomplished my goal, I did have to buy a BU 1970d Half to finish the birth year portion. So here it is finished, my 20th century type set!

very nice set. Maybe you should take separate pictures of each page so they would be larger and show more detail.

I would try and downgrade some of them myself. He built the set to be handled. I would be interested in how much it cost if you don't mind. Did you keep records of cost for each coin ? I have a habit of doing that.

Thanks for the kind words.. I didn't keep track of the cost, I did cherry pick a lot of the coins at shows and from junk bins. Others came from circulation. I'd estimate I probably have around $150 into it. Here's some larger pics as requested!!

At first glance, only thing I see missing is a "golden" Presidential dollar.

2000 was the last year of the 20th century. Anything after that would be 21st century.
