I bought this coin recently. I graded AU-50. Sorry for the Observe side, the picture is not perfect.

What is the impact of the lack of details over the eye of the king. Other coins from the 40's have this lack of details in the front head

Is there any relation with the details in the hair of the king and those coins with missing details over the eye?

Thanks!

I would say AU-53, although I have very little experience with these.

obverse shows a bit blurry, but I am willing to bet that this is a typical unc coin . Looks decent..... they are all pretty brutal strikes on the obverse. Nickel is very hard and the striking pressure was usually quite low to preserve die life.

I took a different picture of the observe. Can we do a link between the weakness of the strike and the missing detail over the eye of the king?
