Im going to a new club that meets in a funeral home. Anyone else see that as weird? I know that some collectors are old but come on. Where do your clubs meet?

Our club meets at a hotel. Before that, we were meeting in a church hall.

Lol my guess is the funeral director is a coin enthusiast and offered his funeral home as a meeting place.

The two clubs I'm a member of both meet in the same place: a senior citizens hall. Not because they're all seniors, it's just the cheapest hall in the central city area to rent.
There's one down in Sydney that meets in a lawyer's office. The one in Canberra still meets in a coin dealer's shop, I think. Another club not far from here meets in a private home, while yet another meets in a school hall.

My club just moved from the VFW to the Moose Lodge....meeting rooms are virtually identical but the Moose Lodge is cheaper. We have 12 meetings and 2 shows.

Mine meets in an art school classroom. It has been there since I became a member in 2006. Now, as the club has gotten considerably larger since I joined, the board of directors is scouting a larger room to host meetings in.

Two of us tried to start a club in an 800+ home over 55 community. One other person showed up. We tried a few more times, gave up.

We meet at the local Community Center at our local city park. They let us have a closet there to store the annual show equipment as well.

Most people around me are just to afraid to even have a coin club. If they did it would have to be in a police station.

One of my clubs meets at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church.
Another at a high school.
Another at West Chester Borough.
The last one at a Senior Center.
I have a lot of coin traveling to do every month!
