Hi, tomorrow I'm selling some coins to help pay for my 1922 plain cent. My first coin auction was a disaster because the title wasn't sufficient for word searches. I'm going to list some coins below, and suggested titles from experienced sellers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 1853 Large Cent, PCGS AU-58 (this one is PQ) 1888 3CN, NGC MS-62 (this one has very subtle blueish toning on cheek of OBV) 1879 Morgan dollar AU+ raw 1904 Morgan dollar MS-63 raw (this one has lovely violet toning on OBV) 1883 V Nickle No Cents AU raw 2006 Liberty Walker high MS raw I'm going to post them on ebay tomorrow. I need five more points for Buy-it-Now privileges. I'm going to set my starting bid at what I really want to sell them for. If any of you are interested feel free to inquire about the price. It would probably just be easier to sell them on here for a fixed price on coincommunity but I'm trying to build some more ebay credit. Edit: On ebay I accept paypal only. But if one of you happens to bid let me know and I'll also accept cash or check. Edited by USArmyParatrooper 08/04/2007 8:52 pm

The best way to learn is search the coin you are selling and see what others are using and the completed listings as well to see what works. It's little things like adding Silver, US, and Coin in a title can help tremendously 1853 Large Cent, PCGS AU-58 (Coronet, braided hair, graded, certified, coin) 1888 3CN, NGC MS-62 (3 cent nickel, graded, certified, w/toning, coin) 1879 Morgan dollar AU+ raw (Silver, coin) 1904 Morgan dollar MS-63 raw (Silver, coin, beautiful toning) 1883 V Nickle No Cents AU raw (don't misspell Nickel, coin, liberty head) 2006 Liberty Walker high MS raw (american silver eagle, bullion, 1 troy ounce, .999, coin, UNC) (assuming that's a ASE)

I would not use liberty walker, use American Silver Eagle, or just silver eagle.

Parentheses, commas, and plus signs are a waste of valuable spaces. You're only allowed 55 characters. Keep in mind that your not trying to win a grammar and puctuation contest, you just want people to find your coin, that's it. Mom will be along shortly to put her 2 cents in.

We've been selling on ebay for a while and have done a lot of research for terms that are searched in the titles. Here is what I suggest: quote: 1853 Large Cent, PCGS AU-58 (this one is PQ)
US COIN 1853 BRAIDED LARGE CENT PCGS GRADED AU58 PL OLDquote: 1888 3CN, NGC MS-62 (this one has very subtle blueish toning on cheek of OBV)
US COIN 1888 3 CENT NICKEL TYPE NGC GRADED MS62 UNC 3CNquote: 1879 Morgan dollar AU+ raw
US COINS 1879 Morgan silver dollar AU+ AU55 OLD $1quote: 1904 Morgan dollar MS-63 raw (this one has lovely violet toning on OBV)
US COINS 1904 Morgan silver dollar BU UNC TONED OLD $1quote: 1883 V Nickle No Cents AU raw
US COINS 1883 LIBERTY HEAD V nickel NO CENTS AU OLD 5Cquote: 2006 Liberty Walker high MS raw
Is this a 2006 American Silver Eagle that has the walker design on the obverse? If so, here is the title for you. US COIN BULLION 2006 AMERICAN SILVER EAGLE DOLLAR CH BU***Edited to change PQ in title bar to PL as PL is searched more often***

I can't believe Bobby passed this one by and defaulted to Mom. But regardless of that, he is absolutely correct. Get rid of all miscellaneous items. Grace gave you a really good start, but again, he included some things that are not needed. for example, I would turn this: 1879 Morgan dollar AU+ raw into this: US coin 1879 Morgan silver dollar AU+ raw This is only 41 characters, so you can still add more, and you now just included folks looking for silver, coins, and US without much effort. Here's another: 1888 3CN, NGC MS-62 US coin 1888 3CN NGC MS62 Three Cent Nickel toned I think this is still under 55 and you would get a lot more hits I think. As Bobby eluded to, Mom is an expert, so she will definitely be able to help. If you want my suggestions on all of them, let me know and I will post more. Good luck! Looks like Mom was typing the same time I was. See, her's are better than mine

It's time to, I haven't done a coin auction in months and months, since we did a major revamp of our priorities here. All I do here with the ebay business now is put the postage on the packages and mark them shipped. That's it. She even takes all the pictures now. We made this change months ago, due to the website expanding so fast. I spend all my time trying to improve the site now, and dealing with you wierdos.

I resemble that remark!! My post certainly wasn't to wonder why you didn't help. I think it's a known fact that nobody can figure out how you do as much as you do. quote: She even takes all the pictures now
Is this why your sales have gone through the roof. teehee

Why yes Tighe, I think that may be why... Really, it made the most sense for me to take care of the pictures and everything anyway. I have always been the one to grade and describe the coins anyway. Actually, our coin business started with me selling my entire collection. That was the only stock we had and we didn't have cash to invest at the time.

The first item is up. The rest will follow. I guess ebay is allowing me to use the BIN feature without only 5 feedback.
