Just pulled this one from a box tonight. Unfortunately it was an ender and has roller damage. Has anyone else seen any of these? The only reference I can find is a Heritage auction from 2006 and a brief mention in a post on Numismaster.com

Don't know much about these. If they are rare then you cornered the market anyway on them. Have seen other coins struck from diff. types of stock and some have a pretty good premium.

He maybe living in an area where the bag/bin shipped these examples. I'd keep searching locally for these if this is the case. They maybe plentiful in your area!

As crazy as it may sound I found another one tonight. If you don't hear from in the near future it is because I got run over by a bus or got crushed by a falling meteor because lightning usually doesn't strike twice, at least not in a good way. I don't know if it was in one of the boxes I had left from yesterday or in one of the 4 I picked up from BMO tonight. And of course it this one also has roller damage (but at least it is only on the head and not the entire circumference like the one from last night) I have 2 more boxes to go through so who knows what is hiding in there (fingers crossed)

I would concentrate all efforts to find these till you exhaust them in your area. On the Wisconsin quarters, there were found in two cities as they were sent to these areas. (Tucson, AZ and another city in Texas. I live about 120 miles North of Tucson and found none of them. So they may just be in your area. Scoop them all up.

I just got 2 of them back from ANACS from their insider special free grading deal. Thanks ANACS The last one will go in the next time they run a special. I do think they made a mistake on the one labeled as "cleaned" as it is not cleaned but has roller damage wheel mark scratches on the obverse. I guess details grade is details grade.

Jack, you are on a roll! I don't think I've ever heard of any other members finding a clad Ken on quarter stock.
Edit: I seriously didn't intend for that pun.

It looks like I found one tonight. The coin has the correct diameter, but is as thin as a quarter and sounds kinda like a silver coin. Mine has some roller damage on the obverse . . .

Can you ID these by sight or are you weighing every coin you have?

Weight, lack of strength of the devices and thinness of the planchet would be the first clues.
