F12/15 the coins appears to have been weakly struck before entering circulation, the leaves on the obverse look quite flat. Though the shield lines are still pretty solid, I had to really look at the other areas ignoring them on this one, it would be an interesting coin to have graded to see what someone like PCGS might put on the slab as a grade. But then again, it's not really worth spending the money to do so. I can see why VF grades might get placed on it as well, but no more than VF20 it's somewhere between 15 & 20, probably more like a F17 or VF18 if we could break it down to those divisions. It looks very nice - even with the weaker strike and circulation wear. No obvious signs of harsh cleaning or dipping, just a touch or a hit on the rim at the obverse top (11:00), and that is very minor nitpicking, along with a small horizontal scratch at 3:00, it's a great original old coin in my opinion.

Plain 5 no serif on the D, not a real common die marriage.
