So I've decided to look through my collection for any error coins after I found out that there were some RPM varieties for the Ike dollar series. Long story short, I went through all my Ike dollars and have found one coin of interest. The problem is, I can't tell if it has a doubled mint mark, if it is some other type of common error or if it's even an error at all. Thoughts?

P.S. Sorry for the bad picture. I still haven't figured out how to get close up shots of coins with a camera.

Wait for other(s) to confirm, but rookie here - seeing what looks like as you described a filled mint mark. The center post that forms the inner portion of the mint mark was broken or chipped away thus filling the cavity. Believe this is an error, but a common one.

The comparison pic is not filled. Can not comment on RPM status with current pics. Would need something a little more close up. An Ike or RPM expert may can add something more definitive on any bicentennial RPM's. Thanks, Doug.

I do not think it's an error. I think it is either a filled MM caused by a broken MM punch or simple circulation wear.

The mint mark looks like it was either partially filled with grease (preventing the formation of the lower SE part) or circulation damaged. The last image is showing machine damage on the "6".
