Hi guys,
I have been slowly collecting Latin and South American crowns, and I'm down to the lest few hard-to-get countries - nothing special, just good examples of the main issues without rim dings. I've done pretty well so far, but this one has me concerned.
Weight is 24.93 grams, it rings and is non-magnetic, but diameter is only 36mm and it is thicker than I was expecting. The rim also seems wrong to me. What do you think?

I can't see anything wrong with your coin, Parry. Let you see my coin for comparison. Mine is 24.80 grams, 35.3mm.

Thanks guys. Is it usual for these coins to have reverse and obverse not perfectly opposed. In other words, with a
slight angle?

Nope not unusual to see rotated dies on these.

Coin is okay, you can also observe the typical die break connecting the nine stars under the shield. I guess it had to do with the thick planchets that had been used...
